Dr. Douglas Mackenzie is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. After earning his medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1989, he completed a general surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then completed his plastic surgery residency at New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center in New York City, and finished training in 1997 with a fellowship in hand surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. He then joined the faculty there and taught as Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Mackenzie opened his Santa Barbara practice Pacific Plastic Surgery in 2000. Dr. Duncan Turner is not your typical board certified OBGYN. Since his arrival in Santa Barbara more than 35 years ago he has been an advocate for patients, listening to them and putting their needs first.
Early in his career he realized that minimally invasive surgery was the future for surgical techniques and sought additional training in this area becoming the first GYN in Santa Barbara to perform advanced laparoscopic surgery in gynecology. Dr. Carolyn Alexander is a passionate physician who is inspired by getting to know her patients. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif., Dr. Alexander received her bachelor's degree and her medical degree from UCLA. Dr. Daniel F. Rychlik was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and received his bachelor’s degree and his medical education at the University of Illinois. He proceeded to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology followed by his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine.
Inspired by his desire to help educate both patients and doctors, Dr. Rychlik spent time as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona and an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois. He served as the President and Medical Director of Fertility Centers of Arizona as well as The Clinical Director at Partners For Fertility and IVF in Fairfax, Virginia before relocating to Santa Barbara and joining Southern California Reproductive Center.
An award-winning research physician, Dr. Rychlik has worked with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and has been named a CREST scholar by the National Institute of Health (NIH). Dr. Sara Yegiyants is a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive surgical training and a background in the visual arts. A native of California, she attended a prestigious visual arts school and completed degrees in microbiology and chemistry. She then achieved a masters degree in biological sciences. She received her MD at Albany Medical College, became board certified in general surgery and then trained in plastic surgery at The University of Illinois.
